  • Versus averaged 263,000 viewers for its three NHL games this week, down from the network’s season average of 278,000. Monday’s Avalanche/Red Wings game drew 400,000 viewers. (Los Angeles Times, via Sports Business Daily)
  • Tuesday’s Penguins/Sabres game, the first game back from the Olympic break for both teams, drew an 11.7 rating on FSN Pittsburgh — the second-highest rating ever for a regular season Penguins telecast on the network. Overall, 13 of the 20 highest rated regular season Penguins games on FSN have taken place this season. (Puck The Media)
  • A final note on the 2010 Winter Olympics: Salt Lake City was the highest rated market, averaging a 21.9/36 for NBC’s 17 primetime telecasts. Denver (21.3/35), Milwaukee (21.0/33), Seattle (19.6/36) and Minneapolis (19.1/32) made up the remainder of the top five. Ratings for primetime coverage of the Olympics were highest in the Mountain Time Zone (18.8/31), where NBC’s coverage aired on tape delay, and lowest in the Eastern Time Zone (14.8/23), where some coverage aired live.
