With two of the most prominent non-BCS schools squaring off, last week’s Maaco Bowl Las Vegas put up strong numbers on ESPN.
Boise State’s 26-3 win over Utah in the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas earned a 3.3 U.S. rating and 5.360 million viewers on ESPN last Wednesday, up 50% in ratings and 51% in viewership from last year (BYU/ORST: 2.2, 3.540 mil).
The game was the highest rated, most-viewed college football bowl through Sunday (eight games).
Additionally, it was the only bowl to crack the top 25 cable programs of the week (Dec. 20-26).
The matchup of #10 Boise State and #19 Utah made the Maaco Bowl Las Vegas one of just four non-BCS bowls to feature two ranked teams.
