ESPN suffered big declines for last week’s Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
Nevada’s win over Boston College earned a 1.8 U.S. rating and 2.500 million viewers on ESPN Sunday night, down a whopping 61% in ratings and 67% in viewership from last season (USC/BC: 4.5, 7.563 mil), and down 55% and 62%, respectively, from 2008 (MIA/CAL: 4.0, 6.508 mil).
The Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl (previously the Emerald Bowl) aired in late December prior to this season.
Sunday’s telecast ranks as the least-viewed Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl since at least 2006 (viewership prior to 2007 was not available).
Only five of the 34 bowl games (does not include TicketCity Bowl on ESPNU) drew fewer viewers than the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl.
