In addition to the overall viewership record set by Sunday’s Super Bowl XLV, the game also ranked as the top program of all time in the Hispanic demographic.
Sunday’s Packers/Steelers game on FOX earned 10.01 million viewers in the Hispanic demographic, up 21% from last year (NO/IND: 8.277M), and up 28% from 2009 (PIT/ARI: 7.844M, NBC).
This marks the largest Hispanic television audience in U.S. history. The previous record was held by the Spain/Netherlands World Cup Final last June (8.95M), which aired on both ABC and Univision.
The record in the Hispanic demographic is just the latest milestone for Sunday’s game, which was the most-viewed program in the history of U.S. television.
