Big Names: Parcells Returning to ESPN For TV Special

Recent news involving sports media personalities, including college basketball coaches Tom Izzo and Jay Wright serving as guest analysts for the NCAA Tournament on Turner/CBS, and former ESPN NFL analyst Bill Parcells rejoining the network for an April TV special.

  • Bill Parcells: The former ESPN NFL analyst is rejoining the network for a one-time SportsCenter special, reports USA Today. Titled the Bill Parcells Draft Confidential, the 90-minute special will air two days before the 2011 NFL Draft. An ESPN producer quoted by USA Today said the network would be interested in rehiring Parcells full time. (USA Today)
  • Tom Izzo: The Michigan State head men’s basketball coach will serve as a guest analyst for the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet Sixteen on Turner Sports and CBS. Izzo made his debut during Thursday’s coverage, working alongside Ernie Johnson, Steve Smith and Seth Davis in Turner’s Atlanta studios. (Turner Sports)
