Though ESPN lost out on the NCAA Tournament, the network still had something to celebrate this March.
ESPN averaged a 1.0 U.S. rating and 1.486 million viewers for coverage of ‘Championship Week’ men’s college basketball telecasts, up a tick in ratings and 11% in viewership from last year (0.9, 1.344M), but down 9% and 7%, respectively, from 2009 (1.1, 1.595M).
This marks ESPN’s second-most viewed Championship Week on record, behind only 2009.
Ratings improved by double-digits from last year among men 18-34, men 18-49 and men 25-54.
