For the second straight match, the United States lifted World Cup ratings to the highest level since 1999.

The United States/France Women’s World Cup semifinal earned a 2.6 overnight rating on ESPN Wednesday, tying Sunday’s United States/Brazil match as the highest rated in the metered markets since 1999.

The overnight is also tied as the second-highest ever for a Women’s World Cup match on ESPN. The current record is a 3.2 overnight for the 1999 United States/Brazil semifinal (3.2).

Will the Women’s World Cup Final on Suday get more viewers then the MLB All Star game?
