Gus Johnson to Make NFL on FOX Debut October 2

Much ballyhooed play-by-play voice Gus Johnson will focus primarily on college football in his new role with Fox Sports, but he will still call some NFL action.

Johnson will make his NFL on FOX debut on October 2, reports USA Today, calling a Washington/Rams game.

With college football taking priority, Johnson will call NFL games for FOX on a part-time basis only, working alongside college partner Charles Davis.

Prior to joining FOX, Johnson spent over a decade calling NFL action for CBS.

Another newcomer to the NFL on FOX this season is former NFL QB Chad Pennington, who will reportedly call an unspecified number of games with Sam Rosen.
