MLB Wrap: TBS Numbers On Par With ’10

Though essentially even with last year, viewership for TBS’ Major League Baseball coverage was the lowest in the four seasons the network has aired Sunday afternoon games.

TBS averaged a 0.4 U.S. rating and 556,000 viewers for non-exclusive MLB coverage during the 2011 season, flat in ratings and down 0.2% in viewership compared to last year (0.4, 557K), and flat and down 9%, respectively, compared to 2009 (0.4, 614K).

This marks the least-viewed MLB regular season on TBS since the network began airing weekly Sunday afternoon games in 2008.

Viewership has declined each season, though this year’s negligible drop was the smallest.
