I’m a soccer fan ( I like European soccer though), no disrespect to anyone who really likes MLS. But I can’t understand how NBC goes after MLS, But doesn’t seem into the NBA rights. I speak for myself, But plenty of other NBA fans in saying A lot of us dream of the NBA going back to NBC in 2016.
NBC has the NFL (will broadcast the upcoming SB), NHL, French Open, Olympics etc… seem to have every sport besides Basketball and Baseball.

I really wonder if they are going to go after the NBA TV rights and If I’m not mistaken MLB contract with Fox ends within the next few years.

Actually its not NBC’s fault why they haven’t been able to get the rights for the NBA in recent years as it came down to cable networks to support games and since ABC/ESPN had that setup it was not necessary to choose NBC as a home but now that they have the NBC Sports Network its likely they can get it back in 2016. The guy in charge of the NBC Sports division is really aggressive and has made no secrets that he wants all of the main professional sports league on his networks in a few years. Expect a huge bid for the NBA rights in 2016. I think NBC will get the MLB rights back from FOX to in 2014.
