Not surprisingly, the least mediagenic game of the week on paper was the only game to suffer a decline in ratings or viewership.
Sunday’s AFC Divisional Round game, won by the Ravens over the Texans, earned a 19.0 final rating and 30.983 million viewers on CBS — down a tick in ratings and 5% in viewership from last year’s comparable game (SEA/CHI: 19.1, 32.493M, FOX), and down 14% and 18%, respectively, from the comparable game in 2010 (DAL/MIN: 22.0, 37.669M, FOX).
Texans/Ravens was the only Divisional Round game of the week to have a decline in ratings or viewership compared to last year.
The game was the least-viewed of the weekend and the second-lowest rated, ahead of only Broncos/Patriots (18.5) in the latter category.
