Ratings for select nationally televised sporting events from Saturday, February 4 through Friday, February 10.

Among the notable items:

  • Giants/Patriots sets record: The Giants/Patriots Super Bowl was the highest rated U.S. television program since 1994 and the most-viewed of all-time.
  • Golf’s Phoenix Open Up Double-Digits: The final round of golf’s Phoenix Open (2.0, 3.069M) was up 11% in ratings and 14% in viewership from last year (1.8, 2.699M).
  • Duke/UNC beats Lakers/Celtics: Wednesday’s Duke/North Carolina rivalry game on ESPN earned slightly better numbers than Lakers/Celtics the next night on TNT.
  • To the Dogs: A February 4 dog show on ABC earned a higher rating and more viewers than college hoops on CBS and UFC coverage on FX the same day.
  • … and the rest: Other notable events include the NFL Honors on NBC, the English Premier League on both ESPN2 and FOX, and the PBA Tour Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational.
