Primetime baseball action on FOX continues to underwhelm in the ratings.
Regional Major League Baseball coverage featuring Phillies/Cardinals in 47% of markets drew just a 2.3 overnight rating on FOX Saturday night, down 32% from coverage featuring Mets/Yankees in week eight of last season (3.4), but up 21% from afternoon coverage in week eight of the 2010 season (1.9).
The 2.3 overnight is the lowest ever for a primetime regular season MLB telecast on FOX (nine telecasts). The previous low was a 2.4 set just one week earlier.
