Stanley Cup Playoffs: Good Numbers For Devils/Flyers Game 3

Though not quite as big a draw as Wednesday’s Rangers/Capitals triple-overtime game, Thursday’s overtime matchup between the Devils and Flyers scored strong numbers on NBC Sports Network.

Game 3 of the Devils/Flyers second round Stanley Cup playoff series drew 1.659 million viewers on NBC Sports Network, up 136% from Canucks/Predators Game 3 last year (702K).

The game ranks as the fourth-most viewed second round Stanley Cup playoff game on NBC Sports Network (previously Versus and OLN) since the network acquired NHL rights in 2005. Only Rangers/Capitals Game 3 Wednesday night (1.853M), Sharks/Red Wings Game 2 in 2010 (1.772M) and Bruins/Flyers Game 3 last year (1.699M) drew more viewers.

Also Thursday night, Game 3 between the Blues and Kings drew 726,000 viewers.
