Golf Update: Final Rating For Tiger’s Win at The Memorial Highest Since ’04

Tiger Woods‘ second PGA Tour victory of the decade earned strong numbers on CBS Sunday.

Final round coverage of The Memorial drew a 3.5 final rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 169% from rain-affected coverage last year (1.3), and up 25% from 2010 (2.8).

The 3.5 rating is the highest for the final round of The Memorial since 2004 (3.5). Final round coverage of Woods’ previous victory in 2009 drew a 3.2.

Overall, this marks the second-highest rated final round of The Memorial over the past decade.

The Memorial was the twelfth of nineteen PGA Tour events this season to have a double-digit increase in ratings for final round coverage.

On Saturday, third round action drew a 2.4 final rating — up 71% from last year (1.4), and up 50% from rain-affected coverage last year (1.6).
