NBA Playoffs: 7.1 Overnight For Spurs/Thunder Game 6

The Spurs/Thunder series concluded on an impressive note Wednesday night.

Game 6 of the Spurs/Thunder NBA Western Conference Finals drew a 7.1 overnight rating on TNT Wednesday night, up 22% from Lakers/Suns Game 6 in 2010 (5.8). There was no comparable game last year.

The 7.1 overnight is the third-highest of the Conference Finals, trailing only Games 4 and 5 of Celtics/Heat on ESPN (7.9 and 7.6, respectively).

In addition, the 7.1 is the highest overnight for a conference final game involving the Spurs since Spurs/Lakers Game 3 on NBC in 2001 (7.2).

The Thunder and Spurs entered Miami Heat/LeBron James territory here as far as TV ratings are concerned..damn impressing given the fact those are two of the smallest markets in sports.
