Overnight ratings jumped substantially for the Wimbledon Men’s Final.

Coverage of Wimbledon featuring the Roger Federer/Andy Murray Men’s Final drew a 3.1 overnight rating on ESPN Sunday afternoon, up 48% from Djokovic/Nadal last year (2.1), and up 63% from Nadal/Berdych in 2010 (1.9).

The 3.1 is the highest for the Men’s Final of Wimbledon since Federer’s last appearance — a 2009 five-set match against American Andy Roddick (4.2).

For some perspective, the Men’s Final drew a higher overnight on ESPN than the Spain/Italy Euro 2012 final a week earlier (3.0).
