The Week 14 NFL overnight ratings, including a strong outing for the NFL national window on FOX.

  • National Window Earns Third-Best Overnight: The Week 13 NFL national window, featuring Saints/Giants in 91% of markets, drew a 17.0 overnight on FOX — up 33% from coverage featuring Raiders/Packers on CBS last year (12.8), but down 8% from coverage featuring Patriots/Bears on CBS in 2010 (18.5). The 17.0 is the third-best overnight of the season for the NFL national window.
  • No Season-High For “MNF” ‘Game of the Year’: The latest edition of “Monday Night Football,” pitting the 11-1 Texans against the 9-3 Patriots, earned a 10.0 overnight rating on ESPN, up 43% from Rams/Seahawks last year (7.0), and up 15% from Ravens/Texans in 2010 (8.7). Despite being hyped as the “Game of the Year” in ESPN ads, the Patriots’ uncompetitive win finished well behind the highest “MNF” overnight of the season — an 11.6 for Bears/Cowboys Week 4 and Giants/Washington in Week 13.
  • Lions/Packers No Match For Cowboys: NBC earned a 13.6 overnight rating for the Lions/Packers “Sunday Night Football” game, down 16% from Giants/Cowboys last year (16.1), and down 18% from Eagles/Cowboys in 2010 (16.5). Despite the drop, the 13.6 is the best for an NFL telecast on NBC in four weeks.
