  • Jets/Titans Not Much of a Draw: The Week 15 edition of “Monday Night Football,” pitting the 6-7 Jets against the 4-9 Titans, earned a 7.9 overnight rating on ESPN — down 27% from both Steelers/49ers last year (10.8) and Bears/Vikings in 2010 (10.8). The 7.9 overnight is tied as the third-lowest “MNF” overnight of the season.
  • Big Numbers For Niners/Pats: NBC earned a 15.2 overnight rating for the 49ers/Patriots “Sunday Night Football” game, up 35% from Ravens/Chargers last year (11.3), and even with Packers/Patriots in 2010 (15.2). The 15.2 overnight includes NBC News coverage of a speech by President Obama. 49ers/Patriots earned NBC’s best NFL overnight since Giants/Eagles in Week 4 (15.6), and the net’s third-best overnight of the season.
  • Steelers/Cowboys Down, Still Strong: The Week 15 NFL national window, featuring Steelers/Cowboys in 90% of markets, earned a 17.2 overnight on CBS — down 12% from coverage featuring Patriots/Broncos last year (19.5), but up 2% from coverage featuring Jets/Steelers in 2010 (16.8). The 17.2 overnight is the best for the NFL national window since Giants/Cowboys on FOX in Week 8 (18.8), and is tied as the third-best NFL overnight on any network this season.
  • FOX Singleheader Hits Season-High, But Trails ’11: Sunday’s NFL singleheader window, featuring Giants/Falcons in 40% of markets, earned a 13.8 overnight rating — down 8% from coverage featuring Washington/Giants last year (15.0) and down 4% from coverage featuring Eagles/Giants in 2010 (14.3).
