  • NBC Earns Best Regular Season Overnight Since Reacquiring Rights: The Dallas/Washington “Sunday Night Football” game drew an 18.3 overnight rating on NBC, up 7% from Cowboys/Giants on New Year’s Day last year (17.1), and up 45% from Rams/Seahawks in 2010 (12.6). The 18.3 is the highest overnight for an NFL telecast on NBC since the network resumed airing games in the 2006-07 season, and the highest overnight for any primetime regular season NFL game since 1997. The 18.3 is the second-best of the NFL season on any network, trailing the Week 8 national window (18.8).
  • FOX National Window Up: The Week 17 national window on FOX, featuring Packers/Vikings in 82% of markets, earned a 16.4 overnight rating — up 38% from coverage featuring Buccaneers/Falcons last year (11.9), but down a tick from coverage featuring Packers/Bears in 2010 (16.5).
  • CBS National Window Down: Meanwhile, the Week 17 national window on CBS — featuring Texans/Colts in 64% of markets — earned an 11.1 overnight rating, down 31% from coverage featuring Chiefs/Broncos last year (16.1), and down a tick from coverage featuring Titans/Colts in 2010 (11.2). The 11.1 is the lowest of the season for the NFL national window on any network.
