- Bo Jackson Doc Sets Viewer Record: The ESPN “30 For 30″ documentary “You Don’t Know Bo” earned a 2.3 U.S. rating and 3.6 million viewers Saturday night, up 64% in ratings and 69% in viewership from “The Marinovich Project” last year (1.4, 2.1M), and up 44% and 43%, respectively, from “Pony Excess” in 2010 (1.6, 2.5M). The telecast ranks as easily the most-viewed documentary ever on ESPN, topping the previous record of 2.7 million viewers for “The Fab Five” in March 2011. (Sat. numbers from Son of the Bronx)
- UFC Earns 4.4 Million on FOX: The fifth edition of the “UFC on FOX” drew a 2.5 final rating and 4.4 million viewers on FOX, up 79% in ratings and 80% in viewership from the fourth telecast in August, which aired opposite the Olympics (1.4, 2.4M), and up 67% and 80%, respectively, from the third telecast in May (1.5, 2.4M). - 2OT Mavs/Celtics Game Still Down From ’10: Wednesday’s Mavericks/Celtics NBA regular season game drew 1.7 million viewers on ESPN, down 9% from Nuggets/Celtics in 2010 (1.9M).
