NFL Network ended an expanded 2012 campaign with a big increase for Thursday’s lackluster Bengals/Eagles game.
The Week 15 Bengals/Eagles “Thursday Night Football” game drew a 3.5 U.S. rating and 5.5 million viewers on NFL Network, up 40% in ratings and 37% in viewership from Jaguars/Falcons last year (2.5, 4.0M), and up 21% and 12%, respectively, from 49ers/Chargers in 2010 (2.9, 4.9M).
Of the five NFL Network games this season that can be compared to last year, Bengals/Eagles easily had the biggest increase.
With that said, the game also ranked as the fifth-lowest rated and fifth-least viewed of the season on NFL Network.
Final regular season averages for the NFL on NFL Network will be posted shortly.
