Compared to last year’s Week 16 game, which aired on Christmas night, Sunday’s NFC West clash between the 49ers and Seahawks declined by double-digits in ratings and viewership.
The Week 16 49ers/Seahawks “Sunday Night Football” game drew an 11.4 final rating and 19.5 million viewers on NBC, down 10% in ratings and 19% in viewership from Bears/Packers on Christmas night last year (12.6, 24.0M), and down 17% and 18%, respectively, from Vikings/Eagles on a Tuesday night in 2010 (13.8, 23.7M).
Among adults 18-49, the game drew a 6.7 rating — down 13% from last year (7.7).
For the week, “SNF” was the top primetime program on broadcast among adults 18-49 — but only second in household ratings and P2+ viewership. A re-run of “NCIS” on CBS took the top spot (12.3, 19.6M).
Locally, Sunday’s game drew a 34.2 rating in Seattle and a 23.7 in the Bay Area.
