ESPN — Not ESPN2 — to Air Australian Open Finals

For the first time in nearly a decade, ESPN will televise the Australian Open singles finals.

Both Australian Open singles finals will air live on ESPN, the network announced Wednesday. The matches, which were originally scheduled for ESPN2, will air at 3:00 AM ET early Saturday and Sunday morning.

ESPN last televised the Australian Open finals in 2004.

ESPN will also televise both men’s semifinals, including Novak Djokovic/David Ferrer on Thursday morning (3:30 AM ET) and Roger Federer/Andy Murray on Friday morning (3:30 AM ET).

The women’s semifinals will remain on ESPN2.
