The first game of the 2013 NFL postseason had a modest bump in the overnights on NBC.
The Bengals/Texans AFC Wild Card game drew a 16.2 overnight rating on NBC Saturday afternoon, up 6% from the same matchup last year (15.3), but down 12% from Saints/Seahawks in 2010 (18.3).
The 16.2 overnight is the third-best for the early Saturday Wild Card game since the 1998-99 season, behind only Saints/Seahawks in 2010 and Jets/Bengals in 2009 (16.9).
Locally, the game drew a 41.8 in Cincinnati, up 5% from last year’s game (39.7). In Houston, the game drew a 34.9 — matching last year.
