Pro Bowl: Overnight Rating Hits Four-Year Low, Still Strong

Overnight ratings for the Pro Bowl declined for a second-straight year.

The 2013 Pro Bowl drew a 7.7 overnight rating on NBC Sunday night, down 3% from last year (7.9), and down 11% from the 2011 game on FOX (8.6).

The 7.7 is the lowest for the Pro Bowl since the 2009 game, which also aired on NBC (5.8). With that said, the 7.7 is also the fourth-highest for the Pro Bowl over the past thirteen years.

The Pro Bowl ranks slightly behind the 2012 MLB All-Star Game, which earned an 8.1 overnight, but still has a good chance of outdrawing the MLB game when the final ratings are released. Sunday’s game also easily outdrew last year’s NBA All-Star Game on TNT (5.4) and NHL All-Star Game on NBC Sports Network (1.0).
