- Monday’s Red Sox/Rays Major League Baseball game earned an 8.8 rating on Sun Sports in the Tampa-St. Petersburg market, the network’s highest Rays rating of the season. The 8.8 rating is the highest for any Rays telecast on Sun Sports since the regular season finale in 2011, when the Rays clinched a playoff berth a walk-off home-run. (Tampa Tribune)
- Fox Sports Southwest earned a 7.0 rating for Tuesday’s Yankees/Rangers game in the Dallas-Ft. Worth market, the network’s highest Rangers rating of the season. The previous high was a 6.9 for Athletics/Rangers in May. By comparison, last year’s season-high was a 10.7 rating for Yu Darvish‘s Major League debut — one of two games to top the 10.0 mark. - The Yankees/Red Sox “Sunday Night Baseball” game earned 2.6 million viewers on ESPN Sunday, up 47% from Rangers/Angels last year (1.8M), and the most-viewed baseball telecast of the season on the network.
