The Yankees/Red Sox rivalry helped FOX to a season-high in overnights over the weekend. In other news, WNBA viewership has increased by more than a third on ESPN2 and NBA TV, and golf’s American Century Championship carved out a small audience opposite a British Open encore.

FOX Ties MLB High With Yanks/Sox

  • Regional Major League Baseball action featuring Yankees/Red Sox earned a 2.5 overnight rating on FOX Saturday afternoon, up 39% from coverage featuring Rangers/Angels last year (1.8), and up 14% from coverage featuring Red Sox/Rays in 2011 (2.2). The 2.5 is tied as the highest of the season for baseball on FOX, matching coverage featuring Red Sox/Yankees on June 1 and coverage featuring Yankees/Orioles on June 29. Tiny Audience For American Century Championship
