Rained out coverage on Sunday drew a 0.7 and 1.0 million viewers, compared to a 2.5 and 3.6 million last year and a 0.9 and 1.3 million in 2011. (Nielsen)
- The Sept. 9 Rafael Nadal/Novak Djokovic U.S. Open men’s final earned a 2.4 final rating and 3.4 million viewers on CBS, flat in ratings and down 3% in viewership from Andy Murray/Djokovic last year (2.4, 3.5M), and up 4% and 3%, respectively, from Djokovic/Nadal in 2011 (2.3, 3.3M). The match ranks as the #2 tennis telecast of the year on any network, trailing only the Serena Williams/Victoria Azarenka women’s final (4.0, 6.2M). (Nielsen)
