Television ratings for the final round of The Barclays were the lowest in six years.
Final round coverage of The Barclays, the first leg of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup, earned a 1.9 final rating and 2.7 million viewers on CBS last Sunday — ranking as the lowest rated final round of the tournament since 2008 (1.7). That excludes 2011, when the final round was canceled due to weather.
The 1.9 is the second-lowest for the tournament since it became part of the FedEx Cup in 2007, again excluding 2011.
The 1.9 also marks a 37% decline from last year and a 24% decline from 2012 (2.5).
Saturday’s third round action drew a 1.4 and 1.9 million viewers, the lowest since 2011 (1.1).
