Airing in the afternoon on a workday for the fifth consecutive year, it should not be a shock that overnight ratings were unimpressive for the men’s final of the U.S. Open.

Though largely attributable to an NFL lead-in, the women’s final of the U.S. Open earned solid numbers for CBS Sunday afternoon.

With the women’s final already pushed back to Sunday due to weather concerns, it was really only a matter of time before the men’s final would yet again be postponed to Monday.

For the fourth time in five years, the women’s final of the U.S. Open has been pushed back a day due to inclement weather.

Overnight ratings were flat for the return of baseball on FOX Saturday. In other news, rainout coverage of the PGA Wyndham Championship declined from last year, and Sunday’s Roger Federer/Novak Djokovic match increased slightly.
