For only the third time this season, ratings and viewership declined by double-digits for Sunday Night Football on NBC.
The Week 11 Eagles/Giants Sunday Night Football game earned a 12.5 final rating and 20.305 million viewers on NBC, down 10% in ratings and 12% in viewership from the same matchup in Week 11 last year (NYG/PHI: 13.9, 23.204M), and up 18% and 17%, respectively, from Week 11 in 2009 (PHI/CHI: 10.6, 17.330M).
The telecast was just the third of the season on NBC to have a double-digit decline in ratings and viewership compared to last year. Overall, five of the twelve NFL telecasts on NBC this season have had declines in ratings and six have had declines in viewership.
Despite the decline, Sunday’s game ranked as the top program of the week on broadcast in ratings, viewership and the adults 18-49 demographic (7.6).
