NFL Playoffs: Nine-Year High in Overnights For Colts/Ravens

Overnight ratings were the highest in nearly a decade for Sunday’s early Wild Card game.

The Colts/Ravens AFC Wild Card game drew a 19.7 overnight rating on CBS Sunday afternoon, up 4% from Falcons/Giants last year (18.9), and up 5% from Ravens/Chiefs in 2011 (18.8).

The 19.7 overnight is the highest for the early Sunday Wild Card window since Seahawks/Packers on FOX in 2004 (20.1). In addition, the 19.7 is the second-highest for a Wild Card game on CBS since Steelers/Bengals in 2006 (19.9), trailing only last year’s Steelers/Broncos late game (25.9).

Both AFC Wild Card games had increases in overnight ratings over the weekend. By contrast, both NFC games suffered declines.
