Sunday Night Football earned the lowest numbers in over a month for last week’s clash between the Lions and Saints.
The Week 13 Lions/Saints Sunday Night Football game earned an 11.5 final rating and 18.896 million viewers on NBC, down 14% in ratings and 16% in viewership from last year (BAL/PIT: 13.4, 22.509), and down 8% and 10%, respectively, from 2009 (MIN/ARI: 12.5, 20.888M).
The game ranks as the lowest rated and least-viewed Sunday Night Football telecast since October 23 — when the Saints’ 62-7 blowout of the Colts earned a 7.6 and 12.465 million viewers opposite the World Series.
Overall, the game ranks as the third-lowest rated (tie) and third-least viewed Sunday Night Football telecast of the season.
Despite the relatively low numbers, Sunday’s game ranked as the top primetime program of the week on broadcast in ratings, viewership and the adults 18-49 demographic (7.4 — tied with The OT).
