- ESPN, ACC, Agree to Deal Through 2027: ESPN and the Atlantic Coast Conference have agreed to a new fifteen-year television rights extension through the 2026-27 season, it was announced Wednesday. The new deal, made possible by the addition of two new schools to the conference, replaces an existing twelve-year deal contract that was signed in 2010. - Big 12 Presidents Verbally Agree to ESPN/FOX Deal: CBS Sports reported earlier this week that the Big 12 Conference presidents have “verbally agreed to a lucrative new media rights agreement.” The agreement in question is expected to be the 13-year contract with Fox Sports and ESPN that was previously reported in March. - New Time Warner Cable RSN Gets Name: The long-announced Time Warner Cable regional sports network in Southern California will be called ‘Time Warner Cable SportsNet’ and launch on October 1, Time Warner Cable announced Thursday.
