Little League, ESPN, Close to Extension
- Sports Business Journal reported Monday that ESPN and the Little League World Series are close to an eight-year media rights extension that would keep the event on the ESPN family of networks through 2022. According to the report, Little League Baseball did not engage in “serious discussions” with any other media outlet. (Sports Business Journal)
ESPN2 Will Reportedly Begin Airing CFL Football
- Canadian Football League games will begin airing on ESPN2 this season, Fang’s Bites reported Sunday. Though the deal has not yet been finalized, it is expected to become official later this week. Bengals to Appear on “Hard Knocks”
- HBO and NFL Films announced Monday that the new season of the reality series “Hard Knocks” will chronicle the Cincinnati Bengals.
