The NFL national window pulled in another impressive audience last weekend.
The Week 15 NFL national window, featuring Packers/Cowboys, earned a 16.3 final rating and nearly 27.8 million viewers on FOX last Sunday — up 1% in ratings and 3% in viewership from coverage on CBS featuring Steelers/Packers last year (16.2, 26.9M), and down 7% and 6%, respectively, from coverage on CBS featuring Patriots/Broncos in 2011 (17.6, 29.7M).
The telecast ranks as the fifth-highest rated and seventh-most viewed of the season. Through Week 15, 20 NFL telecasts this season have earned at least 25 million viewers — one shy of matching the past two seasons combined (21).
Five of the six most-viewed telecasts have featured the Packers or Cowboys.
Earlier in the day, regional action featuring Seahawks/Giants drew a 10.3 and 16.5 million — up 23% in ratings from coverage on CBS last year (8.4), and up 110% and 123%, respectively, from coverage on CBS in 2011 (4.9, 7.4M).
For the second straight week, the early doubleheader window hit a season-high in ratings and viewership.
