Quail Hollow Championship Ties Lowest Final Round Rating in Six Years
- Final round coverage of the PGA Tour Quail Hollow Championship earned a 1.8 final rating and 2.7 million viewers on CBS, tying 2011 as the lowest rated final round since 2008. Houston Leads Metered Markets For Round 1 of NFL Draft
- Houston (15.3) and Greenville, SC (14.1) were the top metered markets for Thursday’s first round of the NFL Draft on ESPN and NFL Network. The Texans had the #1 pick and selected South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney. Rounding out the top five were Austin (13.0), San Antonio (12.15) and Dallas-Ft. Worth (9.8). (Houston Chronicle)
Cards/Cubs Down Double-Digits on ESPN
- ESPN earned a 1.3 U.S. rating and 2.0 million viewers for last Sunday’s Cardinals/Cubs Sunday Night Baseball game, down 13% in ratings and viewership from Dodgers/Giants last year (1.5, 2.3M). The game, which Dan Shulman and John Kruk called from the bleachers, had the biggest declines of the season for a Sunday night telecast (six telecasts).
