Czarniak Returns From Maternity Leave at Indy
- ESPN SportsCenter anchor Lindsey Czarniak will host ABC’s Indianapolis 500 coverage for the second straight year, her first assignment after maternity leave. Czarniak, who has been off the air since March, will return to SportsCenter June 5. (Washington Post)
Holtz Says This Season is His Last
- ESPN college football analyst Lou Holtz told a Notre Dame fan site last week that he plans to retire at the end of the 2014-15 season. Holtz: “We’ve been together nine years now. That’s unusual. … There comes a time where you need to step aside and let the younger people do it.” When contacted by The Big Lead, an ESPN spokesman said Holtz had not officially told the network of his intentions. MLBN Analyst Williams Takes Leave
- MLB Network analyst Mitch Williams has taken a leave of absence, The New York Daily News reported Saturday. Williams was reportedly involved in two separate altercations at the recent Ripken Baseball youth tournament.
