St. Jude Classic Ratings Lowest in Years
- Tape-delayed final round coverage of the PGA Tour St. Jude Classic drew a 1.5 U.S. rating and 2.2 million viewers on CBS, the lowest rated final round of the event since 2006 (1.4). Last year’s final round had a 1.8 final rating. On Saturday, third round coverage drew a 0.9 and 1.2 million, the lowest rating for any round of the event in at least a decade.
F1 Canadian GP Hits High
- The Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix drew a 0.9 final rating and 1.5 million viewers on NBC last Sunday, up 29% in ratings and 58% in viewership from last year (0.7, 950K) and the highest rated edition of the race since it returned to the schedule in 2010. The race earned a larger audience than NBC’s season premiere from Monaco in May (1.3M).
ALCS Rematch Up Slightly on ESPN
- Last week’s Red Sox/Tigers Sunday Night Baseball game earned a 1.2 U.S. rating and 1.8 million viewers on ESPN, up 9% in ratings and 4% in viewership from Cardinals/Reds last year (1.1, 1.7M). Viewership trailed the season’s previous ALCS rematch on the network, a May 18 game that drew 2.2 million viewers.
