Super Bowl Halftime Show Up Over Previous Years
- NBC’s Super Bowl coverage earned a 50.8 overnight rating from 8-8:30 PM ET, when pop singer Katy Perry performed in the halftime show. The 50.8 marks a 5% improvement over both Bruno Mars‘ performance last year (48.6) and Beyoncé Knowles‘ performance in 2013 (48.2). Postgame Up Slightly on NBC, Double-Digits on ESPN
- The Super Bowl postgame show drew a 30.6 overnight on NBC, according to ShowBuzz Daily — up 4% from last year on FOX (29.3) but down 12% from 2013 on CBS (34.5). The Blacklist Scores Highest Lead-Out Rating Since 2012
- The Super Bowl lead-out program, a new episode of the NBC drama The Blacklist, drew a 13.5 overnight rating — up 9% from New Girl on FOX last year (12.4) and up 13% from Elementary on CBS in 2012 (12.0).
