Super Bowl Halftime Show Hits High
- NBC drew a 48.2 final rating and 118.5 million viewers for Super Bowl coverage from 8-8:30 PM ET, which featured the Katy Perry halftime performance — up 2% in ratings and 3% in viewership from Bruno Mars‘ performance last year (47.2, 115.3M) and the highest rated, most-watched halftime segment since at least 1991. - The Super Bowl postgame show drew a 31.1 final rating and 72.5 million viewers, up 10% in ratings and viewership from last year (28.3, 65.8M) and up 8% and 15%, respectively, from 2013 (28.7, 63.3M). - This year’s Super Bowl lead-out program, the NBC drama The Blacklist, drew a 13.2 final rating and 25.7 million viewers — up 7% in ratings and down 2% in viewership from New Girl on FOX last year (12.4, 26.3M) and up 18% and 24%, respectively, from Elementary on CBS in 2013 (11.6, 20.8M).
