Ratings and viewership fell by double-digits for the second IndyCar Grand Prix of Indianapolis. In other news, the second edition of the Premier Boxing Champions on CBS attracted fewer viewers, and the Liga MX Clausura regular season was up across the board on the Univision networks.
IndyCar GP of Indianapolis Down From Last Year
- The IndyCar Series Grand Prix of Indianapolis earned a 0.7 final rating and just over 1.0 million viewers on ABC last Saturday, down 22% in ratings and 20% in viewership from last year’s inaugural edition of the race (0.9, 1.2M). As one might expect given that it aired on broadcast television, the race ranks as the most-watched IndyCar telecast of the season. (ESPN)
Fewer Viewers For Second PBC Telecast on CBS
- The second edition of the Premier Boxing Champions on CBS drew a 0.9 final rating and 1.3 million viewers last Saturday, down a tick and 8% in viewership from the debut telecast in April (1.0, 1.4M). The 0.9 is still slightly ahead of the 0.8 rating NBC averaged for afternoon boxing telecasts from 2012-14. (via Sports Business Daily)
