Wade Joins ESPN/ABC For NBA Finals
- Miami Heat G Dwyane Wade will serve as a guest analyst on ABC’s studio coverage of the NBA Finals, ESPN announced Tuesday. Wade, a three-time NBA champion who played in the past four NBA Finals, will work Games 2 and 3 as well as potential Games 6 and 7. He will work alongside the usual studio team of Sage Steele, Doug Collins and Jalen Rose. (ESPN Media Zone)
Ley Staying With ESPN
- ESPN SportsCenter and Outside the Lines anchor Bob Ley has agreed to a multi-year contract extension with the network. Ley, who has been with ESPN since the network’s third day of operation, will continue in his current roles. (ESPN Media Zone)
ESPN Announces New CFB Trio
- Sports Business Journal reported Monday that ESPN will name Adnan Virk, Joey Galloway and Danny Kanell the lead indoor studio team for its college football coverage. The trio replaces the longtime team of Rece Davis, Lou Holtz and Mark May. Davis will begin hosting College Gameday this season, Holtz has retired, and May will work on a separate studio team with John Saunders and Mack Brown. (Sports Business Journal)
