CBS to Stream Pair of Regular Season NFL Games
- CBS Sports announced Tuesday that it will live stream regular season NFL action for the first time, making Jets/Dolphins from London in Week 4 and Panthers/Cowboys on Thanksgiving in Week 12 available via CBSSports.com and over-the-top devices. Both games will be available for free. As has been the case previously, CBS will also stream each of its playoff telecasts, including Super Bowl 50. (cbssports.com)
NFL Moving Super Bowl Media Day to Primetime
- The NFL is moving Super Bowl Media Day from its usual Tuesday morning perch to a Monday night in primetime. Renamed Super Bowl Opening Night, the event will begin at 8 PM ET on February 1, with interviews scheduled from 8:15-9:15 and 10-11 PM. It will also include musical performances. (NFL Communications)
ESPN Extends Alamo Bowl Deal
- ESPN will continue airing the Alamo Bowl through the 2025-26 season under a ten-year media rights extension. The deal, which was announced Wednesday, goes into effect during the 2016-17 season and extends ESPN’s relationship with the bowl to 33 years. (alamobowl.com)
