Turner Sports’ Craig Sager will again work NBC Sports’ coverage of Olympic men’s basketball. In other news, NBC has picked a pair of Comcast SportsNet broadcasters for its Olympic women’s basketball coverage, and ESPN has re-signed football analyst Todd McShay.
Sager Working Olympic Sidelines For NBC
- NBC Sports announced Tuesday that Turner Sports broadcaster Craig Sager will again work as a sideline reporter for its coverage of Olympic men’s basketball. He will work alongside the returning Doug Collins and Turner colleague Marv Albert, who is calling Olympic basketball for the first time since 1996. Sager is by no means a newcomer to NBC’s Olympic coverage, having covered the basketball tournament dating back to Sydney in 2000, but the news is significant given the health issues that have caused him to miss several events over the past two years. NBC Taps CSN Broadcasters For Women’s Olympic Hoops
- Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia play-by-play voice Marc Zumoff and CSN Bay Area sideline reporter Ros Gold-Onwude will join the returning Ann Meyers on NBC Sports’ coverage of Olympic women’s basketball. Zumoff and Gold-Onwude are newcomers to Olympic TV coverage. In previous years, NBC would use the same play-by-play and sideline reporters on the men’s and women’s games. (NBC Sports Group Press Box)

- ESPN has reached a multi-year contract extension with NFL and college football reporter Todd McShay, it announced Tuesday. McShay will continue in his current roles as an NFL Draft analyst, college football sideline reporter, and regular presence on ESPN studio programming. He has been with the network for ten years.
