Sager to Miss Olympics
- Turner Sports NBA sideline reporter Craig Sager will miss the Rio Olympics as he prepares for a third bone marrow transplant in his fight against leukemia, NBC Sports announced Thursday. Sager was scheduled to work the sidelines on the men’s basketball competition, a role he had filled dating back to 2000. Nichols to Make PTI Debut
- ESPN NBA reporter Rachel Nichols will co-host Pardon the Interruption on Thursday and Friday, marking her first time appearing on the show. Nichols, who also made her debut as an Outside the Lines host this week, will appear opposite Tony Kornheiser Thursday and Michael Wilbon Friday — both of whom she worked with at The Washington Post. Richards-Ross Among Additions to NBC’s Olympic Team
- NBC Sports announced this week that former Olympic sprinter Sanya Richards-Ross and decathlete Trey Hardee will serve as guest analysts on its coverage of the Olympic track & field competition.
