Johnny Miller Retiring Early Next Year
NBC Sports golf analyst Johnny Miller is retiring from broadcasting effective early next year, he told Golf Digest Monday. Miller will work his final event at next year’s Phoenix Open, which is airing on NBC and Golf Channel because of CBS Super Bowl commitments.
Miller has been NBC’s lead golf analyst since 1990.
According to Golfweek, NBC is expected to hire Paul Azinger to replace Miller. Azinger currently serves as the analyst for Fox Sports’ USGA coverage and will continue in those roles. [Golf Digest 10.15, Golfweek 10.15]
