In a stunning move, Sean Salisbury is out at ESPN.
No explanation for Salisbury’s departure was given by ESPN. In a statement, Salisbury is quoted as saying “I have grown as much as I can at ESPN and decided to expand my horizons. I have created a brand and it?s time to expand into other opportunities in TV, radio, Internet, publishing, movies and public speaking, among others. My resume speaks for itself as a football analyst, and I believe I can talk all sports with the best of them.”
Perhaps best known for his contrived battles with ESPN reporter John Clayton, Salisbury earned a reputation as a loud, confrontational analyst during his twelve year ESPN career.
In 2007, The Big Lead reported that Salisbury was suspended for one week from ESPN, after sending inappropriate pictures of himself to female co-workers.
