On a night when the Wild began their playoff run and the Twins played a division rival, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves who stole the show in the ratings.
The young Wolves’ battle against the West leading Hornets drew an eye-popping 0.1 rating on FSN North, making it easily the night’s least watched major sporting event. The game had a 0 share, meaning 0% of televisions in use in Minnesota were tuned into the game. While that would indicate nobody watched, the game did draw 1,707 households — a sizable portion of which must have been Rick Kamla and his family and friends.
The Twins and Wild telecasts drew ratings of 8.9 and 11.1, respectively, with the latter finishing as the most watched program in the market — even ahead of American Idol. Big ratings are to be expected for Wild playoff games; the Wild saw increases of 64% on KSTC and 164% on FSN North.
